Job Description
Washington State DNR is looking to fill an ITS4 position. This position is responsible for planning, and collecting, storing and reporting of data associated with construction, maintenance, abandonment of roadway segments, bridges, and other drainage structures.
▪ This position will manage the state lands proprietary transportation program (DNR Roads and Trails) for the agency, which includes maintenance, updating, region coordination, and writing programs for a routed SDE Enterprise Geodatabase.
▪ This position will maintain and deploy a Garmin Mapsource map product of DNR roads and lands on an annual basis.
 
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
▪ Bachelor’s degree or Masters degree in Natural Resources Sciences, Forest Engineering, Computer Sciences or Physical Science.
▪ Demonstrated experience or education in writing custom ArcGIS-based Python scripts or ArcGIS Python objects.
▪ Demonstrated experience in maintenance and management of a linear referencing database.
▪ At least 4 years demonstrated experience in GIS environmental modeling analysis using linear data, LiDAR and raster-based datasets, and familiar with different ArcGIS python objects.
▪ At least 1 year demonstrated experience designing and creating GIS-related data reports and summaries using MS Access and MS Excel Pivot Tables.
▪ At least 1-year experience managing GIS Projects.
▪ Proven advanced analytical skills to scope, analyze, implement, and automate GIS processes involving linear, raster, vector, and tabular datasets.
