Job Description
MUST BE A US CITIZEN WITH A CURRENT SECRET CLEARANCE-non eligible applicants will not be contacted.

SpecTIR LLC, located in Reno, Nevada; a leader in the airborne remote sensing community, is seeking to fill a position for Remote Sensing Technician with a current secret clearance. Successful applicants must be able to obtain an FAA Class III medical certificate and be willing and able to deploy overseas and fly in hazardous areas.

The successful applicant will be trained in the operation of state-of-the-art airborne digital sensor systems, field data collection, GPS operations and data processing. The position provides ample opportunities for travel, both domestic and international, as well as experience in remote sensing, GIS, and GPS technologies and software.

Duties include flight planning, sensor calibration/check-out/troubleshooting, integration of equipment in aircraft, in-flight operation of mission-critical data collection equipment, data management, processing, and fulfillment of quality customer products.

Job Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
• Must posses a current Secret DoD clearance.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work under demanding, highly variable working hours and conditions.
• Ability to fly and perform collections operations within small aircraft.
• Ability to hold and maintain a current valid U.S. Driver’s license and passport.
• Ability to obtain an FAA Class III medical certificate.
• Live in the Reno Nevada area.

Abilities:
• Highly motivated with strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good software skills and understanding of computer hardware.
• Knowledge of mapping and/or cartography.
• Exposure to image processing, mapping, navigation and data analysis or the ability to learn quickly in these areas.
