| | | | Job Description | The Project Manager position is responsible for managing the implementation of technology infrastructure and applications projects as mandated and approved by the CIO of the Department of Technology. He or she will oversee the delivery and lifecycle of countywide solutions for key business processes, from the concept stage through transitioning to end-user support. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1 Interaction with stakeholders, subject matter experts and end-users to analyze key business processes
2 Documentation of system requirements
3 Soliciting and evaluating bids/proposals
4 Providing technical vision and project leadership to develop/achieve effective enterprise IT systems
5 Oversight and roll-out of system implementations
6 Planning and coordinating systems administration and maintenance of enterprise solutions.
7 Coordination of activities among internal and external partners to achieve project objectives with high quality in a timely and cost-effective manner
Minimum Qualifications:
1 Bachelor’s degree in related field (or equivalent years of experience and education);
2 5-7 years of hands-on professional experience performing enterprise level systems analysis and implementation; and demonstrated project management experience overseeing enterprise level implementations with a client-service focus
3 Excellent communication skills
4 Project Management Methodologies understanding
5 PMP Certification is preferred

1 Working knowledge of technical development processes
2 Strong ability to work with stakeholders, subject matter experts and end-users to analyze critical business processes and develop relevant system requirements and solutions
3 Ability to develop policies and procedures, improve methodologies and employ a sound project management approach;
4 Proven ability to evaluate end-user support and training needs for enterprise solutions, and interfacing with team members to ensure proper delivery
5 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
