| | | | Job Description | Under direction, performs the following application development tasks: requirement analysis, systems design, programming, testing and debugging, documentation, and installs programs to support three-tier and two-tier applications. Works with customers to review, analyze, define, and prepare functional specifications for GIS applications in accordance with established standards. Responsible for translating specifications and writing program code for GIS web applications in the ESRI development environment using technologies such as ArcGIS Server, ArcIMS, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE, and as well as VB.NET and SQL Server. Requires a high school graduate or GED and combination of college course work (minimum 4 courses) in computer science or information systems and/or experience (1-5 years) in systems analysis and design, programming, and/or project management in an information technology system development and implementation position. The candidate must be highly competent in ASP.NET and VB.NET.
