| | | | Job Description |
Perform those analyses and reports that focus on assisting management in market planning tasks, including new site/location selection and sales projections, market selection, territory design, remodel program optimization, demographic profiling, clustering and general spatial analysis tasks supporting marketing, merchandise planning, operations and other areas throughout the company. Assist in building geographically-based statistical models. Assist in the evaluation of current GIS and analytical systems and procedures. Provide input into the development and implementation of process and procedure improvements. Prepare results for presentation to senior management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support modeling tasks spatial analysis/geospatial techniques, statistics, and a broad array of demographic and psychographic data.
• Interface with Real Estate, Finance and Marketing to collect data, collaborate on projects, and work to develop complex analytical approaches.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of GIS systems, including automation of processes, integration with enterprise level databases, and reporting.
• Collaborate on financial models assessing the return on investment for the capital commitment to RE projects for assessing ROI for capital projects.
• Assist the Manager of Real Estate Analysis & Capital Planning with complex ad-hoc analysis projects, including what-if scenarios and existing process analysis as they arise.
• Contribute to procedures to improve the spatial analysis process. Add to supporting documentation.
• Share specialized demographic and geographic knowledge with colleagues through training and documentation.
Education/Experience:
A 4-year degree in economics, geography, statistics, spatial analysis, urban planning or related, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience is required. Experience with retail store operations and/or capital planning is a plus. Qualified candidates will possess strong analytical skills; experience or coursework with GIS systems (ArcGIS preferred) and statistical applications, MS Excel and SQL, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Hands-on experience working with databases is preferred. Strong interpersonal communications skills are necessary due to the nature and level of interaction with other department personnel as well.
