SENIOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ANALYST
(Geographic Information Systems)
SALARY: Between $5945 and $7225 per month.

THE POSITION: This is an “at-will” position, included in the City’s Confidential Employee Group that serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority. Positions in this classification are responsible for performing advanced professional analytical computer support activities. This position is mainly responsible for the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping services and activities, including the use of desktop and web-based GIS technologies. The incumbent will ensure the data is reliable and consistently maintained.

A typical qualifying background is a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geography, Engineering, or a closely related field; and five years of progressively responsible experience in geographic information systems with at least two years providing lead direction or serving as the technical lead on application development projects. Experience working with MSSQL Server, T-SQL Programming, database analysis, database design, application development, and/or project management with geographic information systems is highly desirable. Also, experience specifically working in ESRI’s software suite at an Enterprise level is highly desirable. | |
