Infrastructure Architect
on contract basis for a 12 month contract extendable.
Our client, a leader in its field is seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Architect to join their infrastructure Team.
You will provide technical architecture, design and expertise for all infrastructure solutions projects covering UNIX, Networks and Security to name a few.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities of the Role will include:
Deliver core Enterprise Solutions in the Infrastructure space, including Solaris, Storage, networking and Security
Deliver technical solutions following IT project methodologies
Liaise with business and technical analyst to provide conceptual and high-level systems designs
Architect and design solutions for the implementation and management of Infrastructure technologies (i.e. email)
Mentor UNIX and technical specialists during and build phases of projects
Work with vendors, service providers and other third parties to keep abreast new technologies
To be considered for this role you will possess the following skills and attributes:
10 + years IT experience with enterprise UNIX and Windows systems (5 years at senior / architecture level)
5-10 years IT experience with other platforms, network and security systems
10 + years IT experience in an IT technical role
An understanding of ITIL best practice
Strong and proven technical skill and senior experience with UNIX operating systems (e.g. Sun Solaris / Linux)
Broad experience with Windows operating systems including desktop and servers
Extensive working knowledge of key UNIX services (i.e. Enterprise servers / Enterprise storage systems)
Extensive knowledge with network and security systems including TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, firewalls, load balancers
Strong inter-personal skills and communication skills
