| | | | Job Description | Sanborn is in search of a GIS technician with a strong background in ESRI software products including ArcGIS, and Geodatabase to work as part of our Imagery Services Central team. In this role, you will manipulate a geographic information system (GIS) to produce a mapping product using a graphics workstation, trace digitizing, and/or construction digitizing. Qualified candidates will bring a strong understanding of operating systems, organizing digital files and directories.
• Prepare and capture data from source documents per client specifications. Mathematical construction of raster source data on the computer screen, where applicable. May convert raster data to vector, where applicable.
• Edit graphic information through manipulation of captured data. Build, correct, and verify polygons to enable database attribution and assigns attributes.
• Manually edit and verify proper data capture according to job specifications.
• Process captured data through computer programs to validate and manipulate data through pre-set specifications.
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic digitizing and edit skills.

Qualified candidates will bring an Associates degree or higher in GIS, geography, surveying or other natural science, along with a background in GIS and expertise using ArcGIS and Geodatabase. ARC DLL VP programming a plus.
