| | | | Job Description | Application Engineer needed for growing Infrastructure Division of Utility, Communication, Government and Transportation Industries. The primary job responsibility is to develop and present industry demonstrations of GIS based applications. The qualified candidate will support the sales initiatives of the Sales Account Executives within their assigned regions. The focus will be in the US region. Specific job duties include the following: Provide GIS technical sales support through preparation for product demonstrations, presentations and take part in technical proposal reviews as part of the competitive selection process Develop and present industry demonstrations of GIS based design applications with GeoMedia, GeoMedia WebMap, G/Technology and other geospatial-related products. Consult with clients to analyze and understand the business needs and determine products and services that best fit requirements. Impart industry knowledge to company personnel involved in sales and business development Provide implementation services on a project basis Attend tradeshows as technical resource. Other duties as assigned
| | | | | Job Requirements | Experience with business processes and solutions in the areas of Geospatial facilities management, GIS/design applications, data migration, spatial data analysis, database management and related analytical tools. Preferred working knowledge in one of following areas Utility, Communication, Government and Transpiration workflows and operations procedures Technical programming skills Strong oral communications/presentation, problem solving, decision making, and teamwork skills. Indirect experience in business development or selling. Must be able to pass and maintain a favorable background check.
Education:
Four Year Technical Degree Required. Fields of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or other relevant Engineering field.
