| | | | Job Description | Job Duties: Assist in the planning and implementation of digital spatial data manipulation software. Devise and implement small computer applications to convert geographic information from one format to others. Utilize large-format scanners to acquire map data in raster format and various GIS, image processing, and CAD software to raster-to-vector conversion. Utilize GIS to create digital maps that contain complex scientific data, with a high degree of quality, accuracy, and precision. Create and analyze two- and three-dimension digital data of geology, biology, hydrology, climatology, and elevation. Design and program in HTML to enhance GIS outputs, with a strong emphasis on creating interactive web sites, as necessary to meet program needs. Utilize graphic design, DreamWeaver, templates, and databases to provide visualization tools for a variety of user communities. Coordinate with government contractors, technical staff, research staff, Landscape Ecology Branch Chief, and other program managers to accomplish research goals and meet desired outcomes of the Agency.
