Summary: Responsible for supporting projects involving the implementation of GIS technology for a DoD client providing regional GIS services.
Management Scope: This position has no direct reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide graphic design support.
2. Provide geospatial technical support.
3. Develop mapping products to facilitate information exchange.
4. Utilize graphic design skills to convert geospatial data into geodatabases.
5. Create, configure and administer enterprise geodatabases.
6. Provide input and project status reports to project managers.
7. Available for domestic and international travel as required.
8. Other duties as required.
| | | | | Job Requirements | Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelors degree or equivalent
• Experience with Geospatial Information Systems highly desired
• Advanced level knowledge of graphic design concepts
• Knowledge of ArcGIS Desktop, ArcIMS, ArcSDE, ArcINFO, and ArcPad desired
• Intermediate level with Microsoft Office
• Basic understanding of computer programming techniques
• Analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to learn quickly
• Ability to make sound judgments within established policies and procedures
• Professional written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively
• Strong customer service skills and/or strong interpersonal skills
