| RESEARCH ASSOCIATE | SOIL SURVEY ORGANIZATION | | 29TH SEPTEMBER 2004 ONWARDS | KARAMANA | From 29th September 2004 onwards worked as a Research Associate in the project entitled “Soil Fertility Status Studies”, project at Soil Survey Organization, Department of Agriculture,Thiruvananthapuram.
Objective of the Project: To develop a Cadastral Information System.Soil map preparation, Terrain evaluation was carried out using contour maps, slope maps, relief maps and aspect maps generated from DEMs and landuse land cover maps generated from IRS LISSIV to extract geomorphologic features, groundwater provinces, soil zones etc.
Incorporation of socio-economic data along with natural resources and terrain data was done to formulate into a GIS platform to make it feasible for querying and decision-making.
