Projects
 As a member of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) at Livingstone College, I organized and embarked on a project aimed toward educating middle school students of Knox Middle School in our immediate community of Salisbury, NC in the area of Money and Banking. We devised a project that emphasized the importance of budgeting and supervising one’s finances. We stressed on the importance of establishing and maintaining a Savings and/or Checking Account from an early age. The team also enlightened the students regarding the advantages and disadvantages of owning credit cards, especially since they are one of the main targets of credit card companies hoping to exploit their naiveté - 2004
 Along with the SIFE organization, at the Salisbury High School merged Personal Finance and Business Ethics, emphasizing how certain situations may arise in the business environment and decisions may not always appear to be clear or in black and white. We related that different working environments have different unwritten codes and rules and how you need to adjust to different situations. We dramatized certain situations and then asked questions afterwards as to what the students would do if they were in those situations - 2005
 Development of a System Adjustment manual for a fictional company using Microsoft Access - 2005
 Part-time GIS consultant for the Ecosystem Enhancement Program in their generation of sub-watershed and catchment delineations and communicating with the client to determine required map products, cartographic design and production of a map series - 2007
 Devised an excel spreadsheet portraying all government officials of North Carolina’s eastern and western counties who would be privy to any GIS training courses that may be offered through East Carolina University - 2007
 Use of Reference USA program to download relevant geographical information concerning persons of interest for various projects – 2007
 Use of GPS equipment to accurately record the position of fire hydrant positions in Greenville, NC for the Greenville Utilities Company - 2007
 Spatial Analysis of Greenville’s Business Landscape using GIS as a webpage:
http://www.personal.ecu.edu/rmc0802/docs/project1_Neighbor.htm
 GIS Project undertaking Evaluation and Comparison Using Different Spatial Interpolation Methods for Creating the Best Interpolation Surface for Hurricane Floyd Rainfall: http://www.personal.ecu.edu/rmc0802/project3/docs/project3.htm
 Examination of Patterns of Landscape Change that may be related to Migration by Characterizing Land Cover Change for New Hanover County in North Carolina using GIS: http://www.personal.ecu.edu/rmc0802/project4/project4.htm
 Use of Network Analyst tools in ArcMap to analyze distance and service areas of Post Office locations in Trinidad and Tobago.
