ARCGIS 9.1, ARCPAD, AUTOCAD MAP, ARCView

Description:

To create the first “ENTERPRISE-WIDE GIS” for Dubai Municipality.Project was based on Mobile GIS, which was completed in two Steps.
a) Customized application as been developed in ARCPAD as per the client specification for the verification and assigning suitable codes for features, which are available in the dataset for example roads, buildings, manholes, Light-pole, Road sign pole etc that to be conducted in the field. Simultaneously, we had to captured the new topographical features and assign the new codes for that, which was missing in the dataset. Finally quality checks were done by doing spatial analysis.
b) Survey was conducted for the newly captured topographical features using total station or GPS to get the suitable coordinates. Field data processing of the for newly captured features was done and that too as been incorporated in the final dataset.

c) Agricultural and Rural Affairs Department (ARAD) for Wales

Client: Agricultural and Rural Affairs Department, UK

Software Used:
WIZARD,MS SQL,ARCVIEW 3.2, AutoCAD 2004, MAPINFO, Adobe Photoshop.

Description:

Defined and implemented the project into various stages:
Developing the GIS data, collating the data, updating the data and finally, using the GIS data.
The initial stage involved capturing the various land and parcel data available, using Ordnance Survey. Landline data, aerial photographs, and information from the other
reference layers.
The second stage was to validate the field boundaries drawn in the first stage, after consultation with the owner of the holdings. Digital MarkUP Units were created which could add layers, trace images, add and delete points if any changes to be done and boundaries and then immediately send the marked-up parcel data to the project team for incorporation into the final database.Welsh Information System for Agricultural and Rural Data (WISARD) was the Work Management System, which guided the entire work allocation and submission by the users, tracking work and delivering status reports. WISARD incorporated integrity checks on the SQL database using ArcInfo. Finally the GIS data usage stage, created an automated plotting system, based on availability of smart custom labeling options. The plotting server allowed users to plot the parcel data for the relevant holding as single or batch plots and enabled the creation of a PDF document, which could then be sent to the client for validation.
