Sediment Characteristics And Heavy Mineral Distribution In Tamiraparani Estuary And Off Tuticorin, Tamilnadu – Its Influence on Depositional Environment.

Quality Assessment and Geochemical Processes of Groundwater In Singipuram River Basin of Salem District, Tamilnadu, India
Mapping Training:
Geological mapping of Senkatampatti Hill area in Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu.
Industrial Training:
Undergone fifteen days training at industrial at workshop in recent advances in stratigraphy and petroleum exploration at Kariakal, sponsored by ONGC.
TRAININGS ATTENDED
Short Time Training Course on Landslides held at the Department of Disaster Management, SASTRA University, Thanjavur – 613 402 from 31st July to 7th August 2008 and also Participated in the field work in and around Kodaikkanal.
7th Course on Application of Remote sensing and GIS for Mineral Exploration under NNRMS programme ( ISRO Sponsored ) organized by the Geological Survey of India Training Institute at Hyderabad from 28th January to 10th April, 2008
Participated in the Two weeks short term training course in “ Geospatial Technology Concepts & Applications ” Conducted by Centre for Remote Sensing and Geoinformatics, Sathyabama University, sponsored by Natural Resources Data Management System (NRDMS), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi. during 25th oct to 05th Nov, 2007.
Fields of Specialization:
Sediment and water Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, Environmental Geology, Petroleum Geology & Micropaleontology.
Geochemical Analytical works:
Water samples as well as sediment samples collected from different parts of south east coast of India.
Geochemical analytical works has been carried out using AAS, Spectrophotometer and Flame photometer. Major and Minor elements has been analyzed by using Spectrophotometer and Standard Titration methods.
Sedimentological studies has been carried out such as texture and sediment particle size analysis off offshore samples and as well as creek samples.
Field Work:
Visit of various mines and geological formations in parts of North India, especially Kampatti undergroud coal mine and Mansar Manganese mines etc.
Hydrological Works:
Hydrological works has been carried out and using instrument Aqua Meter CRM-500 for Geophysical survey.
